SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE!
BIKINI SEASON means hitting the Beach!
Visit any beach and there you will find beautiful women wearing the iconic BIKINI in an array of colors and designs: crocheted, beaded, backless, halter, strapless, bandini, minikini, monokini, sling bikini, string bikini… A sexy 2 piece swimsuit with a past…
The name for the bikini design came from a Parisian engineer called Louis Réard, who designed the bikini in 1946 and was named after Bikini Atoll, a coral atoll in the Marshall Islands. Within Bikini Atoll, Bikini is one of a couple of islands of the atoll that hosted a permanent population. Bikini island is the northeastern most and largest islet.
Women and girls each year work hard to get in the shape for “bikini season” to spend vacation with their loved ones on a beautiful beach sunbathing, playing volleyball or simply to watch a beautiful sunrise or sunset.
For those of us who sell bikini’s, I have a blast creating the brief design of two triangles and panties. They can be made out of almost ANYTHING, sometimes we do it for the simple sheer pleasure of watching others adorned in their sexy two piece enjoying the sun “AT THE BEACH”.

Making each step up the Stairway count towards a cure
As I sat there starring at the monitor…I heard a blur of voices around me…a rush of blood come to my head, dizziness, fear, my hands started to uncontrollably tremble. I felt a numbing sensation of disbelief over come me…
Was that what I think is is? Wait, what am I looking at again? NO, it couldn’t be…NO not me! This is a mistake, right?!? WHAT A CURVEBALL!!!
Devastated I try to bring myself back to reality… I am alone in a room with 2 doctors and a technician. At 40 years old I was told I had cancer…stage IIIB breast cancer. Immediately my thoughts go back to my Grandmothers battle, a long battle lost over 20 years earlier, but I was determined it wasn’t going to happen to me…

Today marks 20 years since you passed.
We all still think about you and miss you dearly.
A beloved mother lost this day in 1996. It was tragic and sudden. Our hearts still weep.
I have decided to participate in this years “AVON 39” Walk to End Breast Cancer.
This will be my third walk I have participated in over the past 6 years. It won’t be easy, but that’s why it’s worth it. From now until AVON 39 weekend, I’ll train to strengthen my body to walk over 39 miles in two days. I’ll also be raising funds to crush breast cancer. This is where you come in.
I am required to raise at least $1,800 to EARN MY 39, but I plan to raise $2,000 instead. I hope that I can count on your support!
You can make a donation right here on my webpage by clicking ⇒ HERE ⇐.
If you prefer to write a check via mail, CLICK HERE for the link to print out my donation form and where to send your check.
Your donations will be managed and disbursed by the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. The dollars you pledge will put food on the table of a breast cancer patient and her family. They will enable access to mammograms and medicine, fuel research, and save lives.
Need any more reason to click that Donate Now button?
As a late STG IIIb Breast Cancer Survivor…I take this very seriously. Know that I will be walking with thousands of other 39ers banding together in solidarity and with one goal: to take breast cancer down. So many sisters and mothers and friends have been lost. We see a world without breast cancer for our daughters and nieces. AVON 39 is a force of change that can’t be stopped. By supporting me with a donation, you’re part of it.
