SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE!

BIKINI SEASON means hitting the Beach!

Visit any beach and there you will find beautiful women wearing the iconic BIKINI in an array of colors and designs:  crocheted, beaded, backless, halter, strapless, bandini, minikini, monokini, sling bikini, string bikini…  A sexy 2 piece swimsuit with a past…

The name for the bikini design came from a Parisian engineer called Louis Réard, who designed the bikini in 1946 and was named after Bikini Atoll, a coral atoll in the Marshall Islands.  Within Bikini Atoll, Bikini is one of a couple of islands of the atoll that hosted a permanent population.  Bikini island is the northeastern most and largest islet.

Women and girls each year work hard to get in the shape for “bikini season” to spend vacation with their loved ones on a beautiful beach sunbathing, playing volleyball or simply to watch a beautiful sunrise or sunset.

For those of us who sell bikini’s, I have a blast creating the brief design of two triangles and panties.  They can be made out of almost ANYTHING, sometimes we do it for the simple sheer pleasure of watching others adorned in their sexy two piece enjoying the sun “AT THE BEACH”.

    Your designs are awesome!
Very unique, though I would like to inquire into the practicality of a knitted bikini
    specifically:
    long drying period?
high amount of wear and tear?
    Chafing?

I’ll be sure to show my girlfriend regardless! Really cute 🙂
